Begin here
Take one step back to yourself.
You do not need to solve your child’s future today. Give yourself a few quiet minutes to hear what you need right now.
A three-minute beginning
Pause. Notice. Choose.
01
Find your feet
Place both feet on the floor. Breathe in gently, then let your exhale be a little longer. Repeat three times. Notice one place in your body that feels supported.
02
Name what is yours
Ask yourself: “What belongs to me today, and what belongs to my adult child?” You can care about their choices without taking ownership of them.
03
Choose one loving action
Choose one small action within your control: rest, call a trusted friend, eat a meal, or state a boundary clearly. Let that be enough for this moment.
A question for your journal
“If I trusted that my needs mattered, what would I do differently today?”
